You know exactly what you want. You will tell anyone who will listen. You have rehearsed the non-negotiables list. You could recite it in your sleep. Here is the problem: when a man walks in who makes your nervous system light up like a pinball machine, the list disappears. Gone. Not revised, not weighted differently — just gone. You selected him with your chest, not your checklist, and the checklist is now somewhere in the back seat under an old receipt.

This is the LOUD paradox. You have the directness that most people wish they had — you will actually say what you want, call out what's wrong, name the dynamic. That is genuinely powerful. What To Do About It

You have zero trouble communicating requirements. What you need is requirements worth communicating, applied at the right stage of the process.

The second thing you need is to study what you actually respond to versus what you say you require. The gap between those two things is your real problem statement. When you can see that gap clearly, without defending it or explaining it away, you will have the information you need to fix your selection process. Your standards aren't the issue — they're probably good standards. The issue is that you abandon them when chemistry shows up uninvited and very, very loud.
